Doctorate in Dental Medicine
Dr. Torres was born in Mexico and raised in Prescott Valley, AZ. After graduating from Bradshaw Mountain High School in 2007, Dr. Torres enlisted in the Air Force, where he became a dental assistant. Unfortunately he did not get to travel across the world, as the Air Force recruiter had promised, his first assignment was Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. During his time at DMAFB he fell in love with dentistry and decided to become a dentist. In 2011, he left Active Duty to pursue his dream, he attended the University of Arizona graduating in 2013 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology.
Upon graduating from the University of Arizona Dr. Torres and immediately started dental school the fall of 2013, at Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine. He excelled in his dental studies and earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2017. Following graduation he then joined the Air Force as an Active Duty General Dentist.
His initial assignment took him and his family to San Antonio Texas, where he completed a 2-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Excelling in the residency Dr. Torres was selected to become an instructor of a 1-year AEGD program. This time his wife and four children had moved to Omaha, NE. Dr. Torres, was responsible for teaching advanced general dentistry for the last two years. Teaching was one of the most rewarding military assignments.
Dr. Torres, through a rigorous and technically advanced AEGD training, and in conjunction with continuing education, is highly skilled in cutting-edge treatment options. These include complex restorative treatment, implant restorations, surgical extractions, periodontal surgical treatment, and the latest in Cosmetic Dentistry. He understands that dental procedures such as these can be anxiety-provoking for most people. As such, he combines his dental expertise with his empathetic approach to patient care to relieve stress associated with such treatments.
When Dr. Torres is in the office he is spending his time with his wife and four children. He especially enjoys trying new restaurants. Having been spoiled by the Bass fishing in Texas Dr. Torres and his children spend many weekends out on the nearby lakes, trying to find Bass in Arizona! He and his family are excited to begin their next chapter at Legacy Smiles of Southern Arizona. We hope to welcome you to our office soon!

Terri is our one-of-a-kind Dental Hygienist.
She has spent over 28 years in dentistry. She started working right out of high school as a dental assistant. She did that for 2 years and followed it by completing her Dental Hygiene degree in 1996 at Colorado Northwestern.
She has enjoyed every day of her dental profession. She loves the challenge in the discovery and treatment of disease from gingivitis, periodontitis, occlusion complications and decay. She’s had the pleasure of learning and working with the best dental professionals in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry to periodontal and surgical dental practices. She has worked with specialists from Prescott Valley to Chicago and Surrounding suburbs, Yuma Arizona to here in the Tucson area.
Besides her career, her other passion is her husband of 25 years and her beautiful 3 daughters. She loves the adventure of going wherever the girls’ feet take them!
What she enjoys most is SMILES—
Saving Smiles, Creating Smiles and most importantly Making People Smile!!!
Jessie is one of the Dental Assistants at Legacy Smiles. He is an Arizona native. He received his Dental Assistant Certificate from Pima Medical Institute in 2018. He lives with his mother, brother and 11 dogs. Ask him their names! He is a real animal lover. He also loves to listen to music, take his dogs to the park and try new foods.
He decided to go for a career in dentistry when he was in braces for 6 years. He wanted to make people feel how his orthodontist made him feel- more confident and happier in life.
He continues to grow in the field and he hopes to continue to pursue his education and one day become a dentist. With Jessie as your assistant you will have a knowledgeable team member who thrives for patients to have an excellent and FUN dental visit.
Reecie is the office manager here at Legacy Smiles. She is an Arizona native and loves where she lives. How she ended up in the dental field:
Ironically, she didn’t choose dentistry- the dental field chose her. Through a series of life events and opportunities she ended up at Legacy Smiles. She never imagined she would be immersed in the dental world and that she would love it as much as she does! She enjoys all the people she gets to meet and the team she gets to call family. Sometimes life take us to unexpected places and she’s happily enjoying the ride.

Why she loves what she does?
She always wanted a career where she can work with people and feel like she’s making a difference. Being a dental hygienist allows her to get to know her patients on a personal level and educate them on how to achieve and maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. She is passionate about dental hygiene and provides thorough and gentle care for our patients here at Legacy Smiles!
Leah is our amazing patient care coordinator. She was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She moved to Arkansas on a whim and what should have been a one-year stay turned into 3 years. In the small town where she lived, the job options were limited so she decided to take a chance and apply for a job in a dental office. This is where her love for dentistry first started. She is very grateful to be back in Tucson and surrounded by family and friends. Leah is completing her bachelor's degree at NAU and will graduate in the fall of 2024.
